Taught by LAPC Director Almudena Romero at Photofusion
This course is a hands-on introduction to alternative photographic substrates such as glass and wood. Students will print images on these substrates to create their own negatives and prints. Students will be involved in all the stages from preparing the substrate to printing the image. Students are encouraged to bring their own analogues or digital negatives as well as objects for production of their pieces.
You will be able to independently work with photographic emulsion in a variety of substrates including glass and wood. You will be aware of the relevant issues of health and safety surrounding the equipment.
Anyone with a fascination of for alternative substrates searching for a different look for their images.
